Using Natural Oils to Help Mental Health
CBD Oil Uses
CBD, or Cannabidiol, is a phytocannabinoid. What does this mean in plain English? Well, CBD is a chemical derived from the cannabis plant. It’s natural and even though it comes from a cannabis plant, does not contain chemicals to create a “high” effect like other marijuana product. Rather, it has many health benefits which have been observed. This makes high quality CBD oil perfect to treat a wide variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, the treatment of epilepsy, depression, pain relief, ADHD, autism, addiction, and more. Not all CBD oil is made equal, however.
The two main types of CBD are full spectrum and broad spectrum CBD. Foundations for Wellness makes all its CBD products in-house under the auspices of Jeff Edelman, a double board certified Nurse Practitioner who treats patients full-time through Foundations for Change.
Foundations for Wellness provides Full Spectrum and Broad Spectrum CBD products made with high quality CBD oil from a CBD-rich strain known as PCR hemp. Full spectrum CBD contains the full inclusion of cannabinoids and terpenes as well as other beneficial plant-based compounds, including trace amounts of THC. The combination of these components is called the “entourage effect.”
About Foundations for Wellness
After 16 years of practicing child, adolescent, and family psychiatry, we’ve learned that solutions to mental health situations need to be as unique as the person experiencing them. Foundations for Wellness provides children, adolescents, and their families with holistic approaches to mental health needs and pain.
Medication alone is not a one-size-fits-all. That is why Foundations for Wellness seeks to offer and encourage natural alternatives that can help young, developing brains thrive. We believe that CBD oil can support a child and adult’s current psychiatric medication and in some cases, may even prevent the need to increase or add to medication regimens.
